Wild Ride
Madeira

Ride Madeira wild — seven days of trails, ocean views and island life, guided with deep local knowledge.

21–27 December 2026 7 days · 6 nights 5 riding days Limited places

This departure runs over Christmas — a unique way to spend the week. The exact 25 December schedule depends on local operations and will be confirmed closer to departure.

Why Madeira?

An island built for varied riding

Forest, volcanic soil, rock, steep natural trails, flow sections, ridgelines and ocean views — Madeira packs an unusual range of terrain into a small island, and its microclimates mean conditions can shift zone to zone. That's exactly where local knowledge earns its keep: choosing the right area on the right day, and using shuttle support so the group spends more time descending and less time on transfers.

Local knowledge

Hosted with Marco Gouveia

Our friend and local guide Marco Gouveia knows the island, its trails and its day-to-day conditions. He's a central part of this trip's story — local route choice, culture, and the kind of day-to-day adaptability that only comes from riding somewhere year-round. Freeride Klosters brings the small-group, personal guiding style you already know from Klosters.

  • Shuttles used strategically, focused on the best riding
  • Small group, time for line choice, coaching and local stops
  • Evenings with Madeira food, atmosphere and trail stories
